Camp Frequently Asked Questions

What should my STUDENT bring to camp?

Your student should bring the following items each day to camp:

  1. A sack lunch that does not require refrigeration or heating

  2. A water bottle

  3. Snacks for morning and afternoon that do not require refrigeration or heating

  4. Anything they need to go outside (sunscreen, hat, etc.)

What should my STUDENT wear to camp?

Please make sure your student is wearing comfortable clothes and shoes appropriate for crafts, hands-on science experiments, activities and outdoor games!

We will provide any activity specific attire (safety glasses, gloves, etc.) as needed.

What time can I drop off and pick up my student each day?

Drop off: Our doors open for drop off at 8:50 AM each day. Camp starts at 9 AM!

Pick up: Camp ends at 4 PM. Please plan to pick up your student by 4:10 PM.

If you are not able to pick up your student by 4:10 PM, we will charge a $10 late pick up fee per student for every 15 minutes you are late past 4:10 PM.

Cancellation requests made at least two weeks in advance of the camp start date will be granted minus a $60 cancellation fee for week long camps and a $30 cancellation fee for single day camps. Cancellation requests made less than two weeks in advance of the camp start date will not be granted a refund.

What is your cancellation policy for camps?

What are the expectations for behavior at camps?

Good behavior is critical for everyone to have a great camp experience! We have a code of cooperation that outlines behavioral expectations that we review and agree to daily. The code of cooperation also clearly defines consequences for behavior that does not align with our code of cooperation. Any student acting in a way that does not align with our code of cooperation will be asked to correct their behavior. If the behavior continues, they will be asked to sit out of the camp for three minutes and will have to review and agree to the code of cooperation again before rejoining the camp. If the behavior still does not improve, or a serious behavior incident occurs, the student will be removed from camp and the parents/guardians will be contacted. If the behavior continues and the student is still unwilling to make the required behavior changes, the student will be dismissed from the camp and no refund will be issued.

At this time, we are not offering before and after care for our summer camps.

Are you offering before or after care?

Do you offer lunch or snacks during the camp?

Your student should plan to bring any food they want to eat (including lunch and snacks) along with a water bottle to camp each day. Please ensure no refrigeration is needed for any of these items. While we have offered snacks and a lunch purchase option in the past, we will not be offering these this year. We have found students do better when they bring food they enjoy and parents can ensure the food suits their individual dietary needs.

What is your electronics policy? (Cell phones, tablets, etc.)

We encourage students to leave all personal electronics at home. We’ll be having plenty of fun with technology during camp! If your student needs to bring a cell phone or other device with them, we ask they leave it in their bag or in the cell phone box during camp so it is not a distraction.

What if my student can’t attend the entire week of camp?

If your student has a reoccurring conflict and they need to arrive a bit late or leave a little early each day, we are more than happy to accommodate! If your student will miss one or more days of camp, they are still welcome to register, but please note we do not prorate camp fees if your student is unable to attend the entire week of camp. Depending on capacity, we occasionally will offer remaining spots as single day registrations closer to the camp start date. If your child is only able to attend a couple days of camp, you can always watch for these to be posted on our Facebook page.

Can you administer my child’s medication during camp?

We cannot administer any medication (prescription or non-prescription) during camp. If your student requires any sort of medication during camp, they must be able to manage their medication schedule and administer it on their own without any assistance from a camp instructor.
