COVID-19 Policies & Procedures

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Thank you for considering registering your child for a program offered at TigerLily STEM! We are excited to continue learning with safe procedures in place to protect our students, families and the public.

Before you decide to register your child for a program at TigerLily STEM, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the following guidelines.

Safety Guidelines:

1. Hygiene: Healthy hygiene practices such as frequent hand washing and covering coughs and sneezes will be taught and reinforced. Hand-washing or hand sanitizer will occur before beginning class, before/after lunch, after outdoor playtime and at the end of the day.

2. Masks: All program instructors and students will be required to wear face coverings during classes, camps and tutoring sessions. Students will need to provide their own masks.

3. Cleaning: The frequency of cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces and equipment will be increased. We will be cleaning throughout the day and after camps, classes and tutoring sessions.

4. Group Size: Group sizes will be limited to ensure social distancing can be maintained.

5. Tutoring: Tutoring can be held in-person or virtually. For in-person tutoring, material sharing will be minimized. Instructors will make paper copies of problems for their students to work through. If materials need to be shared, we will sanitize before and after usage.

6. Social Distancing: Programs will be operated while adhering to social distancing practices. We will do our best to set up spaces that limit close contact between participants. We will have students work individually during the lesson and remain socially distanced while seated.

7. Parent Access: Access to facilities will be limited as much as possible. The instructor will greet your child at the door of TigerLily STEM. Parents should escort their child to and from the car.

8. Items to and from Home: Participants should not bring any extra items from home. If students make anything during classes or camps, they will be instructed to keep it away from other students and will take it home the same day.

9. Snacks/Drinks: We will no longer be offering complimentary snacks and drinks until further notice. Your student is welcome to bring their own water bottle, snack or lunch from home. They will need to wash their hands before and after eating. Students will be instructed to put their snack or lunch items in a specific location away from other students’ items.

9. Sharing of Items: Sharing of supplies and equipment will be limited as much as possible. If a student does need to share an item, it will be sanitized before and after use.

10. Illness: According to the CDC, participants and/or staff who were sick will stay at home until:

  1. Fever free for at least 24 hours (without the use of fever reducing medications)
